Each platform presentation consists of 20min of presentation followed by 10 min of discussion.
We assume that most of the presenters are planning to make their presentation by using a PC connected to a LCD projecter. We have LCD projectors in all the presentation rooms.
Please indicate your equipment requirement at the registration desk, if you require an transparency projector or a slide projector.
Regarding PC for your presentation, you can either use your own PC or a common PC in each room.
If you are planning to use the common PC for your presentation, install your presentation file on the PC during break before the session of your presentation starts. In this case, note following points.
The media (CD-ROM, USB drive, or floppy disk) should be checked for the absence of viruses. For this purpose, and for the checking of the display of your presentation file, please come to the slide testing room.
Fonts installed in the common PCs are only standard ones.
We basically do not accept installation of new programs to the common PC. In case you need to use other programs than Microsoft PowerPoint (and other simple slideshow viewer programs), please bring your own laptop computer.
Poster presentations:
The typical size of a poster is 84cm x 119cm (A0 size). The dimensions of a poster board is 100 cm width and 250 cm height.
Allocate the top of the poster for the title, authors, and their affiliations as stated on the submitted paper or abstract.
The text, illustrations, and so on should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters.
Pushpins will be provided for mounting posters.
Posters should be mounted in the morning of December 7, 2006 at the poster board set by using your poster number (please see your poster number in the program).
We would like the poster presenters to be with their posters during the poster session (13:00-14:00 on 7th December, 2006) to make their presentations and discussion.
The posters should be removed by 13:30 on 8th December 2006.
