Objective of the Workshop

Outbreaks of Cryptosporidium and other pathogens in water supply system possess a great risk on beneficial uses of water over the world. It has urged us to study quantitatively the risk assessment of health-related water microorganisms in water resources. Periodic droughts and contamination of water resources also requires us to know the behavior and dynamics of microorganisms in all water systems including natural waters. This workshop provides an opportunity for engineers and scientists to exchange scientific knowledge and perspectives on the above subjects relating to the activities of the COE project.
